We are still moving ahead very slowly in the Bay Area on the business/civil
front, so there's probably no one listed on IACP or the local practice
groups. Though you could try the Redwood Empire group:

I'm happy to talk to the person and give a referral and/or work with their
main business lawyer to incorporate the "peacemaking" element. There are
businesses who are trying to incorporate collaborative law as the dispute
resolution option of choice into, for example, their business formation
documents or vendor contracts. (See, for example, the recently forwarded
article about Electronic Data Systems in Dallas.)
There is also business attorney in my "day job" law firm who is not
"collaborative" but who could probably handle the formation issues. My
number there is 510-420-9000.
Also I echo Kim's welcome to Duane Ruth-Heffelblower - I attended Fresno's
wonderful restorative justice training in summer 2001. That training, and
Doug Noll's presentation about Peacemaking in civil disputes, were the
sprinboard that launched me on this civil collaborative quest.

I got a request from someone in Berkeley, looking for help in establishing

business and creating an on-going relationship with a peacemaking business
lawyer. I went to the IACP site but there is no designation that I can see
for Civil Collaborative Lawyers so I paged through the local group but
didn't see anyone who listed business law.
