My law partner and I wrote a chapter several years ago for a law school dispute
resolution text book. We also wrote the collaborative practice chapter for
AFCC’s publication Innovations in Family Law. I’d almost forgotten until this
topic came up.

Fellow Collaborators,
In Oregon, we have what we call the Barbooks, which are handbooks (aka cliff
notes) for lawyers published by our state bar on just about every possible area
of the law.. This year our ADR Barbook is being completely updated (after 18
years), and they are going to include a Chapter on Collaborative Law. We are
pretty excited about this and a bit overwhelmed. Has anyone else ever taken on
a project of this nature in their state? We would love to hear about how you
accomplished this and what you decided was important to include.
We are also willing to hear from anyone else who hasn’t done it, but has
thoughts on the idea.
