RTD’s income-based discount program, LiVE, offers qualified riders a 40%
discount on regular fares. To qualify, an individual must be between the
ages of 20 and 64, have a household income at or below 185% of the federal
poverty level, and live within the RTD service area. Interested riders can
apply through PEAK, the State of Colorado

In addition to the LiVE income-based discount program RTD offers discount
fares for seniors, individuals with disabilities, Medicare recipients, and
youth. Although there are several discount types that one may qualify for,
multiple discounts types cannot be combined to purchase RTD fare. To see an

*RTD Launches LiVE “How to” Video Series and Partner Tool Kit *
RTD encourages riders seeking an income-based discount to apply for its
LiVE Program, which offers a 40% discount to those who qualify.
Since each benefit program in the Colorado PEAK system is different, RTD
has created a three-part video series about the LiVE discount program,
providing tips on the application process and showing how to ride with LiVE
once they receive the LiVE Discount identification card.

*Coming Soon- Outreach Coordinator to Expand LiVE Application Options*
RTD has heard from many in the community seeking application assistance on
what could make the process easier. One request was to have more assistance
with the application process within the community, at resource centers or
other locations that may serve those who qualify for RTD’s LiVE program.
Currently, applications for LiVE can be done online through the State of
Colorado PEAK website

those seeking assistance with their application for the RTD LiVE program.
RTD and DHS have once again joined forces to develop a new position for an
outreach coordinator who will travel throughout the RTD District to assist
potential LiVE customers with their applications in their communities. This
roving coordinator will be able to help answer questions about the program
and the application process, enter the appropriate applicant information
into the PEAK system and even assist with uploading an acceptable photo
that will display on the LiVE identification card once approved.
Recruitment for the position will soon be underway, and the agencies
anticipate this service will begin as soon as the person is hired and

*Photos-* We need a clear, close-up, full-color photo of each applicant on
a neutral background to be printed on the LiVE identification card. We
cannot use an image of a driver license or other existing ID card.
*Replacement Cards-* If a LiVE identification card is lost or stolen,
