I would like to announce the following:
On Thursday *June 15th*, Sjoukje Kamphorst will publicly defend her PhD
thesis '*Carving Communities in Stone: Inscriptions as Media of Hellenistic
Cosmopolitan Connectivity' *at the University of Groningen, at *16:00* in
the Aula of the Academy Building *(Broerstraat 5).*

In connection with this joyous event we are organizing a small symposium
entitled
*Media of Connectivity and Community Formation in the Hellenistic
Mediterranean.*
