I learned that Telnet is a way companies and pretty much anyone with an
account to a telnet server could access computers no matter where they
were to delete, copy, move execute files.  It uses old emulation types,
like TTY and VT-100, because they were made to transmit and receive data
quickly and easily.  I found this information at

I practiced using telnet at telnet://134.4.10.106
