I visited the sites: www.lvsonline.com/telnet/telnet2000.html, and then http://oregonstate.edu/aw/tutorials/telnet because the first site wasnâ??t as clear to me about the purpose of Telnet. I now understand that it is a remote access to log on and execute commands from a location other than the host computer. I practiced Telnet by following the directions at http://oregonstate.edu/aw/tutorials/telnet/pctelnet.html. I then searched my files and clicked on telnet>remote location>then I logged in to the 140.147.254.3 which gave me information at the Library of Congress. I understood how to use it, but it does seem a bit primitive, and I prefer using the web as normal. Sara Bain
