All - congratulations on what appears to be a successful re-vitalization
of the CinSUG group! I'm very pleased to see quite a bit of
communication and activity among the group and I'm sure you're on the
way to conducting productive meetings in the future.

I notice from the minutes that you have created the necessary committee
members for the 1-day mini conference:

Ken Swann - Speaker Committee
Jeff Ahrsen - Registration Committee
George Hurley - Facilities Committee

>From past experience, getting as much participation as possible from the
local groups will be critical in making the conference a success. While
the committee will be responsible for having the authority to make final
decisions, input from the entire group will make this a unique
experience. For that reason, I hope you do not mind me using the CinSUG
mailing list to communicate logistics or details regarding the 1-day
event. If you prefer, I can communicate directly with the committee
members, which ever is the least annoying for everyone!

MWSUG is excited about getting a start to the mini conference planning
and we're confident that Cincinnati is the right city to host the event.
A few questions:

1) Has an actual DATE been established for the conference?
2) Has an actual LOCATION been established for the conference?
3) Has the FEE been established for the conference?

Once that has been decided, you can sketch out a few other important
dates, such as Call for Papers, Registration, etc. As far as papers go,
you will be able to get one or more from SAS. In addition, I have listed
a few authors that just recently presented at PharmaSUG that are in your
back yard. And I've also committed to getting my hands dirty and doing a
presentation if you want!

I have attached a sample unformatted (doesn't look pretty!) Call for
Papers template that I used for MWSUG in 2002. Feel free to utilize
this, or generate one on your own. This will give you an idea of the
type of content that we usually put in the document. I really think
you'll be able to generate enough interest to get a lot of quality
papers for the event.

There are a lot more things, but I'll try to keep this message at a
minimum. As always, feel free to contact me if I can help in any way!

Here are the four PharmaSUG attendees from the SW Ohio area
(unfortunately I do not have contact info). They may have interest in
presenting at the 1-day mini conference:

Lara Guttadauro
Kendle International Inc.

James Decker
P&G Pharmaceutical

Jun Wang
P&G Pharmaceutical

Rod Lashley
Statking Consulting Inc.

D.J. Penix
Pinnacle Solutions, Inc.
