Good news! I received an e-mail back from Ken. The schedule for 2017 is pretty well set and it apparently will look as I presented it in my e-mail a week or so ago:

*_FILMS                COMPRESSED_*

“THE ANTHROPOLOGIST” 1/14-15/17

“SPEED SISTERS”                1/28-29/17

“AS I OPEN MY EYES” 2/4-5/17

“DISTURBING THE PEACE”                                          2/11-12/17

“AFTER THE STORM” 2/25-26/17

“BABUSHKAS OF CHERNOBYL”                3/4-5/17

There was some difficulty getting a response from the distributor for “THE ANTHROPOLOGIST,” but we are all set with that film. There is still negotiations going on regarding the percentage of ticket sales agreed upon for our final film “THE BABUSHKAS OF CHERNOBYL,” but Ken is quite confident that this will be resolved so that this will not be a barrier to prevent us from including that film in our series. So congratulations and thank you for all of your work and feedback in our film selection process.

Now, of course, we need to attract and build our audience. We will have a short blurb for our opening film in the next Railroad Square Cinema calendar as well as a brief reference to the entire film series. I will be working on longer blurbs for our promotional materials. I will be in touch with Shannon and whoever else we might need to contact about those materials. If you have any suggestions on who might be a good candidate to target for advertising or, especially, have a suggestion on a possible tie-in between a local business or agency and one of our films, this would be a good time to share that. Also if you can think of someone who might have some expertise that may allow them to provide insight to our audience for any one of our movies, that would be helpful information to share. The more that we can make the experience of watching one of our films special, the better for our audience.

Joel
