OOPS!

Here's the text of the article:

Journal Christmas Balloon Glow returns Nov. 30

Sunday, November 14, 2004

The Journal Christmas Balloon Glow, which enjoyed its largest crowds yet last year, will return to Smith Park, according to Rick McCrabb, assistant editor of The Journal and chairman of the event.

The popular Middletown area holiday tradition is scheduled to return from 6 to 8 p.m. Nov. 30.

The glow was moved from Donham Plaza to Smith Park last year to accommodate the overflow crowds. It also coincides there with Light Up Middletown, a drive-through holiday lights display.

The glow will feature about a dozen members of the Southwestern Ohio Competition Club, other balloon pilots and crew. The hot air balloons will inflate at 6:30 p.m., weather permitting.

From one of the baskets, Santa Claus will pass out free candy canes.

Entertainment will be provided by William "Kip" Moore and area high school and church choirs.

There are spots available for nonprofit groups interested in selling food, drinks or gift items at the glow. Groups must complete a vendor application.

For more information, call Lisbeth Wolner at (513) 705-2839 or Lauretta Philhower at (513) 705-2835.

The balloon glow and Light Up Middletown are free. Donations will be accepted at Light Up Middletown.

Hey Paul,

Could you give dates and time. The link you gave asks me to give my e-mail, home address and other information I prefer not to give out.

Thanks,

Hey, all!

Here's an event that may be of interest (it's FREE [donations "accepted"], by the way!): In conjuntion with the drive through holiday light display in Middletown's Smith Park (otherwise known as "Light Up Middletown"), several members of the Southwestern Ohio Competition Club (hot air balloonists) will inflate and "glow" their balloons.
