Subject: Question

Hi!

My name is Molly Blenk and I have learned about the "Cincinnati Stay at Home
Dads" group because I have run into various members when I have been with my
own children at the Cincinnati Museum Center and also at our local playground.
I am truly amazed by the network you have established. It's very neat to
watch the way that the dads interact with their children. While different from
moms, it is truly a complement to it. My own husband and I agree that having
two parents certainly enriches a child's life because each one brings something
very different to the table.

I do have a question. I am teaching part-time at NKU and will be starting a
Race and Gender course in July. It is a 5 week (very quick) course. I would
love to have someone from the Cincinnati Stay at Home Dads group come in and
talk to the class about being a stay at home dad. I can give more information
once I have finalized my syllabus but it would be great to have the dad talk
about what it is like to be a stay at home parent, how the decision was made,
how it is viewed by others (extended family, society at large, etc.) and what
type of transitions were made in family roles (if any). Please let me know if
someone would be interested. You can email me back at this address or at my
school address (blenkm@xxxxxxx).

Thanks so much.

Sincerely,

Molly Blenk
