CINC naturalist, Carol Chase, and I were treated to an incredible journey.
Sunday, January 9th I recorded eight Humpbacks, two-possibly four-Gray whales
and a megapod of over 1,000 dolphin on Ocean Alert. We saw plenty of Island
Fox and tagged Raven on Santa Cruz Island. The coreopsis are green and there
are pools of water on the beach. Carol said she saw a waterfall up Scorpion
Canyon on Wednesday. It is a great time to get out on the water and
experience the islands. Thanks to IPCOs Captain Dave, Lauri, Andrea, and
Lindsay.
