Stan Kanin and I were the naturalists for the afternoon wildlife cruise. The
sea was choppy but the weather breathtakingly clear. We saw two grey whales
right between Anacapa and Santa Cruz. Then went along the back of Anacapa and
saw multiple sea lions vocalizing and carrying on. Saw a flock of surf
scoters- my first! On the way back we saw several hundred common dolphins. A
gorgeous day.
However there was no whale box on the boat. Does anyone know where they are
and when they should go back? It’s so helpful to have the visual aids.
