Apologies for my earlier email which contained erroneous information
regarding the rorqual larynx. The following article contains some better
information with diagrams and anatomical photography, albeit on a different
topic.
It appears that blowholes and esophagus DO share a common space, as the
nasal passages and mouth do in humans.
