Is this the same creature as a basking shark? sounds like it from the
description.

 My first trip out whale watching since and we see *a Baskin Shark*
aboard the Double Dolphin! *No whales and 10 long beak Common Dolphin.
But your’s truly first ever certain Baskin Shark!*
Luckily.I had with my stuff a <  swfsc.noaa.gov  > Baskin Shark Hotline
flyer from well before COVID and sent to the noted NOAA email address the
asked for info:

   - Date & time
   - Lat & Long from skipper
   - Estimated length ( 23ft )
   - Number ( 1 )
   - Observed behavior ( slowly surface feeding )
