Ahoy Troopers,
Yea! Light at the end of the shut down tunnel. Also, tomorrow in Santa Barbara
at the Arlington Theater: 3 pm Free, “50 Years After the Santa Barbara Oil
Spill: A Call to Action”. Free, but go on line to reserve <
santabarbaraoilspill50.com <http://santabarbaraoilspill50.com/> >. FYI: Whales
were hardly mentioned in the environmental outcry against that disaster in
1969. Why? Because they were practically non-existant along our coast.
Humpbacks, Blues, and Finns did not re-appear until the late 1980s into 1990s.
Plus, Grays had been diminished to about 1,000 by 1940! Their was no whale
watch industry at all! Cheers, and keep on swimming against the tide, Paul
