Man who admitted to impersonating cop now accused of pretending to be a fireman By: JACK SHAUM , Staff Writer 04/07/2004 CENTREVILLE - A Stevensville man who pleaded guilty last month in Anne Arundel County to charges that he impersonated a state trooper has been charged in Queen Anne's County with three counts of impersonating a firefighter. Christopher M. Hatch, 26, of Stevensville, was also charged with driving a vehicle with unauthorized blinking lights and emergency equipment; two counts of making a false statement to a police officer; possession of a controlled dangerous substance; possession of a controlled dangerous substance with intent to distribute; two common nuisance counts; speeding; and failure to obey a traffic control device. Hatch was a member of the United Communities Volunteer Fire Department, but was suspended from the department following his arrest last summer on the trooper impersonation charges. Department officials could not be reached, but a dispatcher at the firehouse said the suspension is still in effect. Complete story appears in the print version.
