CENTREVILLE - A Stevensville man who pleaded guilty last month in Anne
Arundel County to charges that he impersonated a state trooper has been charged
in Queen Anne's County with three counts of impersonating a firefighter.

Christopher M. Hatch, 26, of Stevensville, was also charged with driving
a vehicle with unauthorized blinking lights and emergency equipment; two counts
of making a false statement to a police officer; possession of a controlled
dangerous substance; possession of a controlled dangerous substance with intent
to distribute; two common nuisance counts; speeding; and failure to obey a
traffic control device.

Hatch was a member of the United Communities Volunteer Fire Department,
but was suspended from the department following his arrest last summer on the
trooper impersonation charges. Department officials could not be reached, but a
dispatcher at the firehouse said the suspension is still in effect.
