The U.S. Fire Administration has received notice of the following
firefighter fatality:

Name: Kevin M. Shea
Rank: Chief
Age: 54
Gender: Male
Status: Volunteer
Years of Service: 30        
Date of Incident: 01/24/2004
Time of Incident:  1530hrs
Date of Death: 01/24/2004                        
Fire Department Name: Elsmere Fire Department        
Fire Department Address: 15 West Poplar Drive, Elsmere, NY 12054

Cause of Death: Chief Shea collapsed at the firehouse after returning
from
an alarm at a local nursing home and subsequently passed away of an
apparent heart attack.
Viewing Arrangements: Wednesday, January 28, 2004 at St. Thomas the
Apostle Catholic Church. Hours will be from 4 pm to 8pm. St. Thomas is
located at 35 Adams Place, Delmar, NY 12054. Adams Place is directly off
of Kenwood Avenue, south of the intersection of Delaware Ave.
Funeral Arrangements: 11:00AM, Thursday, January 29th, 2004 at St. Thomas
the Apostle Catholic Church.
