A friend to the fire service passed away today. Vince proudly supported
legislation to benefit those of us out there on the front lines. Just last
year he was the Senate Sponsor for the Illinois "Fire Fighters Equipment
Exchange Program". He will be sadly missed by all. Keep his family in your
prayers.

Senate Majority Leader Vince Demuzio (D-Carlinville) has died. He had been
ill with cancer for several months.
"The Illinois Senate and the people of this state have lost a great leader
in
every sense of the word," Senate President Emil Jones said today. "What is
more, Illinois has lost a true friend."
