Just to let you all know. I try to do my best covering the h/l when I can from work. Sometimes it is hard but I do my best. I also have to put in the fact that if I am on a call or busy in the building I can't get the hotline and I keep my pager on Silent (Sleep) mode so I try to check it at least 1 time every hr or so.
Also I love my job so far. EMS is good to me up to this point. Was getting ready for my first parade yesterday in line about 5 minutes from starting time. Primary EMS crew was dispatched to a location about 10 miles north of our location and Secondary (Backup) crew ...me and my partner were dispatched back about 7 miles south then we transported got another call, transported, worked on paperwork. Primary rig arrived back from transport to requested hospital to pull into the garage to get another call. It was a busy day. It was my day off I told a guy I would cover his call time yesterday morning to 7p because of the parades he was already in them. Ah well. I enjoy it. Everyone have a safe rest of the weekend and safe week.
