The following is being done to keep the color balance as fair as possible.
No matter what, Boards 2 and 11 will keep their usual colors. Saponara and
Tinti will have white in Round 5.
Colors on the other 9 boards will be obtained at random as follows. If the
closing Dow Jones average on Tuesday ends with an odd digit, the colors will be
as usual. For example, Benson, Johannes, and Thoune, et cetera will have white.
If the last digit is even, the 9 colors will be reversed. For example, Benson,
Johannes, and Thoune, et cetera will have black.
I shall announce the average and its implications shortly after the Tuesday
close.
