Hi Jim,
Please count me in.
As the IBCA Secretary, I have also posted the news on the IBCA member
countries list, so you might get new players.

Hi Chess Lovers,
First, join our list. To join our list send an email to
chess-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx
Put subscribe in the subject.
Then enter the tournament by emailing our list.
George de Nobrega is the Tournament Director.
You are invited to play in the World
Chess Parlor Tournament.
The tournament is Swiss style. The time control is thirty moves per
hour.This time, to enter,
you must promise to get at least 2 Good Citizen points by the end of Round
3. Usually this means that you will be the
third-person timekeeper for at least one game by the
end of Round 3.
If you have not received at least 2 GC
points, you will be removed from the Tournament.
If you do not have a chess clock, you
can write to our chess list, and ask for someone to show you how
to use a software chess clock.
Probably, someone will help you.
This will mean that probably many of your games will have a third party
timekeeper.
You arrange to play
your games at a time and
date convenient
to
you.
We can work
around
your
schedule, even if you
are going to be
unavailable during the tournament
for a
week or so.
A game usually
lass a
couple of
hours.
The full rules will be emailed
with the Round 1 pairings.
To enter this free
tournament, simply e-mail chess@xxxxxxxxxxxxx by Thursday at 23:00 UTC or
GMT.
Before you enter this tournament you
must get a Skype account, if
you do not have one.
You must also be a
member
of our group,chess@xxxxxxxxxxxxx You must speak at least a
little
English or have someone who can
help
you with your English.
You can play using Skype or, if your opponent agrees, freechess.org or
Lichess.
The permanent list will not be used for
this tournament.
Also, you are invited to attend
our World Chess Parlor Club
Meeting on
the first Saturday in October. everything is free! We can tell you how
you
can get free chess lessons,
even if you have
never
played this great game.
If you have any
chess
questions or would like
to arrange a game,
please attend the
meeting.
Our voice chat
room "over-the-board"
Chess
Parlor Tournament
and
Ladder Tournament and
other
things
will be
discussed.
Our tournaments
are free and open to
all,
including
beginners.
You are welcome
to listen to any of
our
games.
It is
voice-chat over-the-board
chess.
It is not
correspondence chess or
email
chess.
You will need
to plug a microphone
into
your
computer. A
microphone
cost less than ten
dollars.
