Midsummer Morning Medallion Hike Saturday, July 22 9:00 am at Trailside Museum 405 Corry Street Yellow Springs Participants should be in good hiking condition for these 3.5-5 mile treks. Hikers who complete 5 out of the 12 months are eligible to purchase a Glen Helen Medallion, suitable for mounting on a staff. ?PRESERVING THE ARC OF APPALACHIA? Glen Helen Lecture Series Wednesday, July 26 7 PM at The Glen Helen Building Rob Boley, trustee and volunteer for the Highlands Nature Sanctuary, will discuss the grassroots origins and mission of the HNS, a land trust in Southern Ohio that has preserved over 2,000 acres in just over 10 years. His presentation will include the Sanctuary's accomplishments to date, the enormous tasks ahead, and the biological importance of the Arc of Appalachia, a fertile crescent that stretches from Ross to Adams County. Camps are for kids ages 5 to 15. There are six week long sessions from Monday, June 19 to Friday, July 28. Day Camp themes are: Tiger Beetles, Animal Tracks, Young Scientists and Legends. Overnight camps: Frontier Ohio, Raptor Camp, Night Camp, Wilderness Survival, EcoArt, Gorge Adventure, Rocks Fossils & Bones, Aquatics Camp, and Glen Safari.
