Archeological Illustration-Not Just Drawings of Artifacts
September 27 at 7:00 pm
Artist and archaeological educator, Susan Nelson, discusses what we know
about the First Peoples of the Americas, based on archaeological evidence.
 She'll show how an artist involved with archaeology and anthropology
might use computer graphics, dioramas, and illustrations.  Susan received
her master?s from Antioch University McGregor and is currently Program
Instructor for SunWatch Indian Village/Archaeology Park.

Exploring the Tropical Splendor of Costa Rica and Panama
Wednesday, September 27 at 7:00 pm
Tom Hissong, Education Coordinator at the Aullwood Audubon Center and
Farm, will share with us the beauty and rich natural diversity of the
tropical world in these two exciting countries, including Curu Wildlife
Refuge, and the Sambu River through the Darien Jungle to visit the stilted
village of the Choco Indians.

Bring a journal to record observations, drawings and other ?seeing?
exercises as we hike the trails. No experience necessary.
