Glen Helen Silent Hike Sunday, August 6 - 2:00-3:30 pm at Trailside Museum, Corry Street Parking Lot, Yellow Springs A nature experience for Deaf and Hard of Hearing individuals. Although it is designed for the Deaf community, all are welcome! We will not use our voices, but sign language, ASL, gestures and other forms of manual communication are acceptable. Glen Guide: Ruth Lapp Glen Helen Lecture Series Archeological Illustration-Not Just Drawings of Artifacts 7:00 pm at the Glen Helen Building, 405 Corry Street, Yellow Springs Artist and archaeological educator, Susan Nelson, discusses what we know about the First Peoples of the Americas, based on archaeological evidence. She'll show how an artist involved with archaeology and anthropology might use computer graphics, dioramas, and illustrations. Susan received her master?s from Antioch University McGregor and is currently Program Instructor for SunWatch Indian Village/Archaeology Park. Glen Helen Medallion Hike Cool of the Morning Prairie Hike Saturday, August 26 - 9:00 am at Trailside Museum, 405 Corry St, Yellow Springs Although the new Glen Helen prairie is in it's "root forming" stage, come see where it will be in full bloom next year, learn about prairie ecology, and get some good exercise in the process.
