The next Chai-T meeting will be on Friday 26th February at 3pm in room 21.26 at
DHHS 50 Lonsdale street.
Agenda:
1. Discussion re Grand Pooh-Bah position.
2. Peter Davey: Presentation re the visualisation of multi-dimensional
data. I've found that it's not uncommon to get a request like this: "can I
have a report that shows WIES, seps, ALOS, ave WIES per sep, variation from
WIES target by clinical unit structure and month split by elective and
non-elective" For most of us the data elements will be readily available but
usually the user will have no idea about how data with this many dimensions can
be presented in a way that allows them to make sense of it. This presentation
will discuss a couple of possible approaches.
3. Knight Wang: Data driven subscriptions in SSRS - how to deal with the
complexity of multi-valued parameters.
4. Rowan Shield will discuss a community web portal that he thinks might
be useful for Chai-T.
5. Other business - news items etc.
Drinks: Tracy has suggested that we try Cooper's Inn just around the corner on
Little Lonsdale/Exhibition. Coopers Inn has a long tradition of providing
hostelry services to the public service dating back to the heady days of the
"toilet block" and so it sounds like just the ticket for Chai-T.
