Hi everyone,

Hope you have had a fantastic new year so far. 2017 looks like a big year for
BI, especially around Microsoft's Power BI. Yesterday they announced Power BI
on-prem (Integration with SSRS), which I know will make this tech available to
many of you. If you're interested in this, please chat to me as I'm really
interested in this area.

Next month we have Greg Nash from Dear Watson consulting
https://www.dearwatson.net.au/ who will be talking about prototyping in Power ;
BI desktop. I know a lot of people on this list have been trying to sell Power
BI to your decision makers, this will be the meetup where you can learn how to
build your proof of concept.

Also I will be presenting on how I screwed up our Power BI implementation. This
is of course tongue in cheek, I will be talking about things I have learnt
along the way and things I wish I had known in the beginning.
