Hi All

I'm trying to get an old computer to recognise a 40 GB Hard drive.

Its a Pentium MMX 233 with 96 MB RAM, dual Booting with 98 & 2000.

with AMI BIOS circa 1995/96.

Perhaps a bios upgrade would do the trick, but I can't get any links for
such an upgrade. driverguide.com has the same version this computer has, so
that's no help.

Here are the bios details :

BIOS ID String : 51-0401-008031-00111111-071595-VIAVPX-TX98-3D-HK0

OEM Signon : TX98 Ver 1.12 (990610)

Chipset : VIA 82C585 REV 37

Super I/O : ITE 8661/SIS 6801 REV 6 FOUND AT PORT 279H

The motherboard manufacturer's site, zida.com, is no help either.

Would some kind of track overlay software help ?

Any help and leads much appreciated.

TIA

SG
