Hi everyone! Here's the latest from what we know about Covid on the TRU campus.
First, I have a tentative schedule for returning to on air broadcasting. I'm
pasted the link below, so take a look and see if you are happy with your

If you need to move your timeslot, contact me ASAP. Right now, I want to stress
that we DO NOT have a restart date, and we are still waiting for direction from
TRU about when that will happen, and what we will need to do. So, keep watching
your email and read the updates we send you.
I want to make sure that everyone who wants to be back on the air will get a
spot, and will get the timeslot they want. I still need to hear from a few
people, so if your name is on the list below, contact me as soon as you can to
let me know what timeslot you want.

On the university front, TRU confirmed that they will be mandating vaccination
checks upon entering the campus, likely starting the same day that the
provincial Covid passport system goes into effect, September 13th, 2021. So, if
you've been vaccinated, make sure you get your passport downloaded on to your
phone, or get your vaccination card from the health system. Keep in mind this
will apply to everyone coming on to campus, from staff, to volunteers and to
guests. If TRU starts checking vaccinations, that means that we won't have to
do it at the station, which relieves staff of a lot of work. If you aren't yet
vaccinated, sign up for vaccinations online. TRU is setting up vaccination
clinics right on campus, and pop up clinics are taking place in town too, so
there will be ample time to get your shot and the follow up. There will also be
rapid testing stations if you don't know your Covid status. Also, there will be
the option of recording from home if you can't come in to do your show live or
don't feel safe doing so. Contact me if you are in that situation.
We're going to be kicking off the fall volunteer drive on September 10th and
running it for three weeks, with on air promotions. I'll be sending out more
information later this week, along with a PSA you can read in your shows if you
are recording from home. I've also got updated pre-recorded recruitment PSAs
I'll be putting up a transfer link too. Be on the lookout for new volunteers,
since we're going to be low on student volunteers, given we've gone 18 months
without live programming!
