Hi everyone, a few things to pass on to you.
Our next Farmer's Market info table will be on Saturday, August 20th. I'll be
getting the sign up sheet out to everyone later next week.
With August finally here, we can start thinking about the fall volunteer drive.
We're working on a bunch of recruitment events, along with the traditional Back
to School BBQ. We've been invited to Move in Day by TRU Residence and we're
working on getting involved in Clubs Day. Of course, we'll have our usual on
air blilz, postering around campus and active recruiting, but more about that
when it comes up. Be on the lookout for new possible volunteers. I'll be doing
one more training session before September hits, and getting in the door before
the bulk of September volunteers are recruited is a great idea.
If you're sitting on the sidelines, like a few volunteers who still owe me
their policy tests, get your training finished ASAP. Now is the best time to
stake your claim to a timeslot. If you're a volunteer currently not on the air,
plan to talk to me in the coming weeks to get your timeslot nailed down.
If you are returning to TRU after summer holidays, let me know when you'll be
back in town so we can get you a timeslot as soon as possible. Spots are going
to fill up quickly, so make it a priority!
