This is the hotel report.
Radisson Beach, 3200 Surfside Blvd., CC Beach
Will send a bid to Carlos. Cold reception to our request.
Quality Inn and Suites, 3200 Surfside Blvd., CC Beach
Attached to Radisson Beach sent me back to Radisson sales office.
Hotel Corpus Christi Bayfront
Has sent us a convention bid. Check your email, Carlos set this out.
Holiday Inn Emerald Beach, Shoreline Blvd., CC
Sales Manager, Julie Moff has a conflict for meeting space on the 11th.
She is awaiting a confirmation for the 11th. If the confirmation falls through,
she will send us a bid for our convention.
Bayfront Inn, 601 N. Water St., CC
They will contact us. Went to the meeting room/banquet room and the area
smelled unused and moldy.
Best Western, 300 N. Shoreline Blvd., CC
Left information, was contacted by the Sales Manager and he wants us to look at
the place before he takes the time to make us a bid. Sort of backwards to my
way of thinking.
Omni Hotel, 900 N. Shoreline Blvd., CC
Spoke with Caleb DuBose, Director of Sales. He informed me that the Future
Business Leaders of America are having their convention in CC the same weekend.
He has already rented 756 rooms to them. He thought the impact on CC from this
convention may play against us. So, I went to plan B with him. What about May
13, 14, 15th? He said if we can guarantee 139 room nights, ie, a total over the
three days of our convention of 139 room nights rented, that the Omni Hotel
will not charge us for any meeting rooms. These rooms include the main meeting
room, photo shoot room, break out room, display room, and banquet room. His
charge per room per night is $129. To our club there will be no other room
charges. He is putting this in writing for Carlos.
