Yes, but slowly.
It was my cheap scooter that was making funny noises and so I stripped it down.
Very narrow case edges so I worked most of them off with a scrapper.
I was looking in cupboard for something else and found that I had a can of
spray on gasket stripper. It must have been a long time ago I purchased it.
It was quite messy but softened the last remains quite well and they basically
wiped off.
Got to win one occasionally.
Not sure I'd recommend it as a starting point but certainly helped the final
clean up.
