Hello all,
We have some opportunities coming up for scouts. On the 12th of May (sat)I
have two events scheduled due to a pack changing the date on me One event will
be held at our head quarters. The count will be about 40 cubs We also have an
event scheduled out in Fairfield Hamilton area off of route 4. It is a family
campout and we will get their beltloops done and then turn scopes on the sky. I
got to tell you we always have fun with these groups. Just for ease of
logistics I will head up the offsite event but I need the headquarters event
in good hands. Please let me know: astrono@xxxxxxx if you can help out.A little
further out we recently had a Scout troop sign up for a darksite campout and
star gaze. on the 19th of May the troop will also be doing some service work
around the grounds I was thinking this might be a stellar opportunity for
members to get out to the darksite and help on the roof project, then stay for
a little dark sky viewing. That sounds like some fun. Email me as well if this
