[cas_announce] CAS Radio Telecope: Listening to the Universe!

A short work party for the radio telescope is planned for
this Saturday, August 17, at CAS HQ.
Starting
time is 10:00 AM.
Our original low noise amplifier (LNA) was significantly
improved by Jeff Kruth at Morehead State University. The task for Saturday is
to mount the new LNA in the antenna. If the LNA fits in the available space, we
can continue reassembly. Else the
antenna will need to be modified.
This is a good time to get your questions answered on how the CAS Radio
Telescope works.
We will also bring the 75 CM
portable radio telescope.
