Dear Allie,
You are an angel. Thank you for having the cards at the party for us to write;
it's wonderful to hear how well he is doing...Let's keep the faith as he and
April are, sending healing prayers and love his way, one day at a time as long
as it takes.
With gratitude and love,
Barbara & Matt

Hi capricornians!
Thank you to everyone who wrote cards for Ian.
Ian and I sat in the courtyard, I told him about the party and showed him
a video of the banjo player with everyone around talking. I asked him if he
would like me to read to him and he nodded yes. He smiled many times as I
held the cards in front of him and read.
After a bit of time he started trying to move his wheelchair. I unlocked
the wheels and he practiced maneuvering and moving around. I asked him to
wear his hat and he put it on. He rolled himself into the sun and rolled up
his pants to the knee and sat for a few minutes. Then he wheeled himself to
the shade on the other side of the courtyard and back over to sit beside me.
I read more cards to him and he held a card that one of the children had
written and added stickers, he smiled.
I stayed for over an hour and then the physical therapy staff came to
work with him. I got a strong hug from Ian!
Thank you so very much!!! I left the cards there with him.
Warmly,
Allie
