Dear Elizabeth,
I have asked the site team to be more thoughtful about where they park the
digger, and to try not to leave it behind someone's garden.
We have the build only contract for the project and as such the ground
investigation reports are not ours, I will forward your email to GTR to see if
they are able to help.
kind regards
Diane

Subject: Re: [cambtrainwash] ground investigation report + digger
Dear Diane,
I hope you are well and had a good weekend.
As per my email below, I would like a copy of the ground investigation report
you mention.
I would also request that the Lynch digger not be parked behind our garden
(57 Great Eastern Street). It was there from Friday afternoon to this
morning. We are selling our house and it does not help to have that digger
looming over our back gardens while people are viewing our house. It is also
very unsightly for us to have to see it from our house all weekend. As a
courtesy to us and other residents, it should not be parked there.

Dear Diane,
Will you kindly forward to me the 'Ground Investigation' work report,
because GES residents have never seen such a document.
Indeed, such a report or findings should be available as a public record,
given the importance of such investigation with regards to impact on our
homes and the surrounding streets.

Dear Elizabeth,
I do apologise for the noise and disruption. I have contacted site and due
to matters out of our control, we have had to start work today that was
originally scheduled for Wednesday onwards - with a notification letter
going out today.
You should get the letter this afternoon with details of the work, the
scheduled time for this is two weeks - which if we can do quicker, we will.
Ground Investigation work has been carried out by the designers before any
work commenced.
I am so sorry for the disruption.
Kind regards
Diane

Subject: House is shaking and shuddering
Dear Diane,
My entire house (as well as those of my neighbours) is shaking due to the
pile driving/drilling on the train wash site today. I have no doubt that
this may cause damage to the foundations and walls of our homes.
We haven't even had notice of this work; I and a number of residents are
still working from home. It's almost impossible to do so while our homes
are under assault from this drilling.
This is very irresponsible of GTR and Spencer Group to be carrying out
these works. There has been no real survey of the potential structural
damage of this piling.
