Just had this through from Fenland:
Hi Mike
All NOTAMs issued and website updated. The only change from the text below is
that on weekdays until 13/04 with no ground staff, the clubhouse will need to
remain locked for safety. Therefore refreshments will not be available apart
from Saturday and Sunday.
Thanks
Jeff

Hi Flyers
March 29th is almost upon us ! Hurray
I thought I would keep you up to date. Despite the wet winter the runways
have remained dry and usable . The need to carry out drainage work has lead to
a problem with 06/24 the re-turfing of the trenches has now established and
rolling is being carried out to level the ground. The runway should only be
used
the pilots discretion and risk! hopefully it will soon be back to normal.
The moles have been enjoying the wet conditions but Daniel has managed to
keep on top of the problem, The toilet hand basin is back in use please only
use it for hand washing. Building maintenance has been carried out and the dyke
to the east has been reinstated which has unfortunately meant the loss of the
bushes growing in it. The Direction board and the windsock have not fared well
over the winter and will have to be replaced otherwise things are looking good
with some new machine arrivals and new students(potential new members) booking
lessons. All we need now is for the weather to play ball, I expect there will
initially
be a lot of circuits flown to refresh old skills so please taxi on the
sides of the runways to keep the centre in good condition I have spent some
time rolling the sides so they should be reasonably smooth. I would also remind
field users to keep observing the Covid protocols to protect themselves and
fellow flyers
Finally I/we are looking forward to seeing you fly again .
Roll on some sort of normality
Welcome back
Best wishes
Pete/ Mary R
