Good question. I'd say read-only LFN support for CD-ROMs and floppies
with auto-conversion to short names + description (when stuff is copied
to the hard disk) would be nice (the short name must be changed if
there's already a file on the hard disk with the same short name but
another deswcription/LFN!), but I wouldn't really need it on hard disks
(where it would be more difficult to implement anyway, I guess), and as
it seems it's quite hard to implement for networks. Write support for
LFNs might be useful on floppies, but not on the hard disk - I don't
really like the idea of Calmira messing around in my file system... In
addition, I prefer descriptions to Micro$oft's FAT patch.

Oh BTW Maxim: Would you mind modifying your LFN24DOS converter so that
it doesn't overwrite existing descriptions?

Normally 486s have a built-in co-pro, so maybe it's a 486SX w/a 487SX?
(The latter is a slightly modified 486DX btw). At how many MHz does it
run? How much RAM, hard disk space etc.?

Did you read the help file concerning system requirements? Did you try
adjusting the output settings?

You may want to try one for DOS. You should be able to find one on:

Isn't that a Win32 only player?
