hope you are all well.
After all the covid shenanigans we are chuffed to say that calderdale way relay
is going to be going ahead this year on the 26th September🥳
For those of you that don't know it is a relay event run over the Calderdale
way route, it comprises of 6 legs and is run in pairs.
Every year we put out an expressions of interest from the club members to give
us an idea of how many teams we need to enter as we try to give all that are
interested a run (doesn't always work out as planned though 😃)
Teams come in there usual guises of open, ladies, vets and mixed so there's
lots to go at.
If you are interested in being part of a team then drop me your name and I will
put you on the list but before you all do this CHECK YOUR DIARY AS IT IS NOT OK
TO DOUBLE BOOK AND THEN DECIDE AT THE LAST MINUTE YOU WANT TO DO YOUR OTHER
OPTION also if you suffer an injury and decide to drop out you will only be
allowed to drop out after being brought in front of the panel (Carolyn Shimwell
and myself) and assessed with physical testing and direct questioning and after
all options have been considered (hopping, crawling, rolling) then you will be
released from your contract and replaced with one of the non existent reserves
or one of your ex team mates will end up doubling up on your team and you will
therefore lose this person as a friend ! 😁
We are looking to enter teams fairly soon so the sooner we hear the better.
So we look forward to throwing as many teams at the calderdale way as we can
and I’m sure we will, as usual, have a great day.
