Morning all
On 26th October 1986 (34 years, 9 months today) a group of inspired runners met
in The Stafford Arms and decided to set up a club in their local area dedicated
to fell running alone: The Calder Valley Fell Runners were born.
On 23rd October this year (Covid rules permitting)we're going to celebrate that
historic meeting in style with as many of those original founder members that
we can locate 👀 hopefully dusting off one of the historic 🇦🇹 relays off the
shelf (and running it Lee Mills style - members only) followed by a CVFR knees
up at the MCC
If you've got a burning desire to be involved and join the sub committee
involved in the organising of any of this (we've already booked the MCC and
contacted as many of the Old Guard as we have records for but still lots to do
in the next 3 months) give me a shout.
Important bit for now is to make sure you have a pass out for the afternoon and
evening 🙌
