a) what people want
-a good 3d CAD system that can be expanded/modified/scripted along the 
way.  I want CAM too, but scripting (ie python) could get that done.






b) what resources we have
-lots of good people on the list who are probably working toward the 
same goal, but maybe on different projects.
-libraries of code: Opencascade and Varkon






c) where we should start, etc.
-????

P.S.  I do have the source code for Varkon and can send it via email or 
upload it somewhere.
