Thanks for the HEADS UP, but ...
I'll be spending the weekend in Dallas at a LCCA Board meeting, and it's
shaping up to be a knock-down, drag-out fight between warring factions of the
Board. A 3 to 3 initial vote is likely, and the "swing vote" will likely be
the newest member who is least experienced and least aware of the club's
"corporate history."
It'll be an exhausting time, and I'll return home on Sunday. I won't be up for
a train ride on Monday. But thanks for offering.

Good evening,
I was just informed about the possibility of getting invites/tickets to
ride on a Operation LifeSavers train from Bald Knob to McRae and back- approx
trip time 1 hr(this might change). Unfortunately, It will be during the work
week during business hours (8am to 5pm)
Currently they are looking to run three excursion runs on the afternoon
of the 14th(again subkect to change).
It will be pulled by a Diesel(Sorry to disappoint some, that it is not
a Steam Loco).
The word has it that will potentially be pulling a couple of the
Heritage cars????.
We need to keep this on the QC until it is made public.
If you are interested - please email me and let me know that you are
interested and how many tickets you will need. I will gather the request in
date/time order, so if we exceed the # of tickets that are available, I will
request tickets on a first come, first serve basis.
Once, I get confirmation of the event and the tickets allocated, i will
contact you via email, with the time slots available, again they will be
allocated on a first come, first serve basis based on responses to my second
email.
Again, I ask that you keep this on the QC until we get an actual
confirmation for this event.
This is all the information that I have so far. I will provide updates
via email when I know more.
