Hi,
What I would say that you need to do is put in the comments edit box of squawk box, that you’re a blind pilot and that you won't be able to except any sids or stars and you will need radar vectors to your first waypoint. When you talk to a controller in the arrival airspace, ask him if you can get ILS vectors to the active runway.
I hope that this helps.
Sincerely,
John Sanders

Subject: [bvipilots] assistance with something I want to get back in to again.

Hello all. This seems like the place to attempt to bring this back
up. I'm wanting to try to tackle online flying with Vatsim again,
butt, as a bvi pilot, I'm wanting to know how others have gotten around
the pitfalls of working with them, as we can't use the approach and air
space charts for the airports, nor fly the sids, and stars or do holds
on VOR's. I was told by one controller that I could request a precision
approach to get down to the runway, much like flight sim does it now,
but, I've had people that get just plain almost bitchy if you can't do
charts, or do it by the book. Has anyone else met with better success,
and if so, what tricks do you have up your online flying sleeves? I'd
like to do some of my IYPVA flights with vatsim, but don't know what if
anything, I should be prepared to do differently, or find workarounds for.
