I actually unchecked it to see what it does, and ATIS still works. Then I
figured out that ATC still works, it is just that I don’t hear the pilot
transmitting the request. How do I… erm, turn off the ATC voice?
If I can replicate this, I can turn it on on his machine.
His voice slider is set to 50, so…

Settings. Maybe that is the problem since it sounds similar to what I run

Hi everyone,
I just got a friend into Flight Sim and IYP. He is having a weird problem
where getting ATIS/any ATC voice results in nothing. As in, all engine and
other sounds are working, but anything to do with the radios is not. ATIS,
IFR Clearance, Taxi Clearance, etc. I’ve ensured that the “Auto-open ATC
window” option is checked in general, and voice volume under sounds set to 50.
I know that the ATC window is opened because if it was not, IYP will
immediately skip over the item in question. With his, it just says please
wait with no voice, after waiting about 15 seconds.
I’d greatly appreciate help on this, as he just bought IYP. He is attempting
to fly the Eary to Toronto Quickstart flightplan.
