I think there’s also a way to ensure you always get a gate or specific parking
assignment at an airport. It’s documented in the manual somewhere. Pf3 isn’t
the only ATC program to just ask you to taxi to the terminal, Radar Contact
also has that problem.

Remember, if the airport has no tower you will be forced to taxi where you
ended up, at least I think that's how I understand the SOP. You can look up
to see if the air port has a tower probably at airnav.
