I don't have this problem but first result on google when I type that
error code in is this which seems like it might work.

Now, here’s the letter.
First the great news.
I reinstalled FSX and plugged in my authorization code with no problems.
The good news.
I installed the FSX Accelerator program with no problems as well.
Now for the bad news.
I go to click on FSX.EXE to plug in the authorization code for the FSX accelerators program.
Here’s the error code that I receive.
Product Activate Error Dialog
We’re sorry, an unexpected error as occurred which is preventing product activation from being completed.
Error Code 1-80004005
