Hello everyone,
Well, basically I want to add more to my flying... in the form of going online.
There's a lot of blind people who fly offline, but there's only three
people I know who have flown or are currently flying online with their
network of choice. These include Hauddy and John Sanders. Retired
online pilots includes Scott Shade, among others.
Hell, John was even a controller at times. What I'd like to know is:
Since FSXPilot can fly Cids and Stars, what is the best client to
interface with any of these networks? I may try the free ones and
maybe head over to Pilot edge if I feel it'll add realism.
The important reason why I'm bringing up online flying is that
Canadian air Xpress, actually requires you to fly online after your
first promotion. This actually makes a lot of sense, otherwise I've
found that when flying offline, it's a numbers game and you have to
set goals. How many flights can I turn in this month? How many hours
do I have to put in for my next rank?
Canadian Air is the same way, except they have two ways to watch
flights. Either via the pilot's Twitch channel that can be embedded on
the flight tracker, or CXA TV, which broadcasts screenshots every once
in a while.
Bottom line is, I've been simming for six months, use a majority of
the same stock planes, which I'm getting out of the habit of thanks to
FSXP, and I'm now having a good time with SimBuddy.
Who was going to write that guide on the online flying from a BVI
perspective? I'd like to sign up to CXA, join them, and after 20 hours
of offline flights, start flying online from then on as per the
requirement.
Also, FYI, I know a blind pilot not currently on this list that has
Prepar 3D. He says that the interface is pretty much a clone of FSX,
and everything with FSX seems to work with it just fine. AS2016,
Traffic 360 and even PF3 all work without having to buy a new license.
Pretty sure of that anyhow.
