Ok cool. I assume this doesn't have you flying sids or stars? I've heard those are workable, but you would need someone to explain the routes to you.

Hi Jason,

For a start, I just did KSNA SLI KSNA. It is the IFR equivalent of pattern work.
There are sites online which can get you preferred routes, the one a lot of PE users recommend is www.myflightroute.com <http://www.myflightroute.com> It’s accessible, at least with VoiceOver on OS X.
Best,
Zack.

Hi,

What route did you fly? I've been reading about IFR flights with pilot edge, but not sure how to get the route to file in the flight plan.

Hi,

So I was able to fly a short IFR flight on PE this morning, without any major issues. The most annoying problem for me was IYPs listening when I talked to ATC. I hadn’t messed with push to talk or the Mic switch yet, but will definitely want to get one or the other straightened out before doing this more seriously.

Live ATC feels totally different from the simulator version, and I was fortunate to be in a pretty busy time slot. Definitely recommended for anybody who’s reasonably familiar with ATC procedures.

Thanks, Robert and all,
