Here is what Josh has not really addressed. First, every landing is different.
Even in real life, you can have some really hard landings. Second, if you are
using an add-on such as Sim Physics, you are gaurenteed to crash when landing
if you have apply landing brakes on when using IYP. It will be so nice once I
figure out why the autopilot keeps disconnecting when my flight control system
is plugged in when doing the approach checklist so th I have proper foot pedals
for applying the brakes again instead of using the period key. Third, if you
are landing in bad weather, you should set the autobrakes to max if you are
flying an aircraft equipped with autobrakes, and if you are not, and are using
something such as Sim Physics, holding down the period key in any conditions
will cause the brakes to fail and off the runway you go. One big problem with
IYP and some aircraft is that it does not use the flaps at the correct setting
for landing, which does cause landings to be harder than in real life. I am
also in the slow process of redoing the terrain mesh in FSX, and thus the
terrain will be more accurate, and since starting this project, I have had no
flying into terrain incidents like I usd to have. Going to have to try to fly
into Las Vegas which used to be very problematic.

The plane crashing on landing is not PF3's fault, but rather IYP's.
Sometimes when you land with IYP in bad weather the plane has a chance of
overspeed. Also, sometimes when landing in places like Alaska I'm probably
crashing into mountains and such.
Do you have anything other than stock FSX and MSATC? If so, I can understand
why/how IYP works perfectly for you. But if you have AS and fly in changing
weather conditions in real time, that's where IYP landings get hairy.
I recorded another video last night in conjunction with MCE and FSX Pilot, but
my impatience with FSX pilot autoland made me crash :(. Did the flight again
after the video and landed perfectly.

Hello everyone.Blind and Visually impaired Pilots mailinglist
So I recently downloaded the demo version of pf3 thatto give it thata
spin and I just finished my first flight from Amsterdam to London
successfully with PF3! Ok, half way successfully because when I was
clear of the active, IYP gave me an execution error and shut down, but
hey, at leased I made it to the ground in one peace.
I now want to purchase pf3 but still have some questions.
1. Why is it sometimes that when you land with pf3, the plane crashes?
I heard that happening quite often in Josh's videos.
2. How can I change things like the call sign? I couldn't figure out
how this is done.
3. Is there a way to turn down the ATC volume? Because in Josh's
videos and me flying, I noticed that I had trubble in understanding
IYP when
pf3 was saying something.
4. Strangely when I started the flight and switched to atis, the
normal ms ATC was talking to, does someone know what this might have been.
Yeah I know, a lot of questions, but I hope that you can answer those.
Greetings Moritz.
