Steve, Nels, Joe-F and I have done this in the past. Once upon a time, I
used to be involved with Family Promise, an organization that temporarily
helps families who have found themselves in non-optimal situations. In the
past, the event had only a handful of kids (I would estimate no more than
15). We don't need that many jugglers with this one; but I'd appreciate a
few people helping me out with this.
2) Wings Flights Of Hope Annual BBQ Fundraiser, Saturday, August 7,
sometime in the afternoon
Location: Wing Flights Of Hope Pavilion, 3964 California Rd, Orchard
Park, 14127.
Several of us have done this in years past, and it was pretty enjoyable.
And they fed us. The only issues we had were finding spaces to juggle, and
trying to time it so that some of us were juggling while others were eating
(the food line would always get REALLY long at one point). If you do want
to do this, PLEASE be sure to let me know so that I can get the correct
number of food tickets from the contact person.
Obviously, COVID-19 is still a concern - remember, there's a good chance
that any and all kids under 12 will most likely NOT be vaccinated. And at
any event, a percentage of adults will also be unvaccinated. You may not
have received your shots yet, or you might worry about being an
asymptomatic spreader. Use your best judgement.
If you feel like doing any of these events, please let me know. Right
now, I intend to do both. And I still have the teaching props!
