The Arun platform should be the most useful as it is very close to our sea area. The data needs some understanding but the 'bumpiness' of the trace on tide height should be a guide that we can learn to compare with the real conditions on diving days. It might be useful in a do we don't we go out situation. ----Original message---- From : andrew@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Date : 15/01/2015 - 16:50 (GMTST) To : budcinfo@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject : [budcinfo] Some interesting websites re sea conditions / weather in Littlehampton area The Arun Platform – I think this is the tower out towards Kingmere Rocks http://www.channelcoast.org/data_management/real_time_data/charts/?chart=86 Rustington Wave Buoy – this must be somewhere just to the east of Littlehampton beach http://www.channelcoast.org/data_management/real_time_data/charts/?chart=78 This is at the entrance to the Chichester Channel just the other side of Selsey Bill http://chimet.co.uk/(S(1vohuh551dnlyy45iprxxpqy))/default.aspx Worth adding as links on our website??
